Can I be disallowed from joining the Military if I've gained weight in DEP?

I DEP'd in at 35%, and I am now at 36%. My recruiter keeps telling me that if I don't get to 34% between now and Tuesday morning, that I will be discharged from the Navy and never allowed to join any branch of the Military again, but I don't really trust what he's saying because he's told me untrue things before (i.e., that I couldn't get married in DEP or I'd be kicked out.). Can anyone help clear this up for me?
