'Earth Hour' to plunge millions into darkness? Your thoughts?

25 cities, millions of PO'd people. No communication. No security. Just what does this solve? Does it put food into millions of starving mouths? Does it keep a warm roof over millions of homeless? Does it serve God? Does it praise God? Does it just show mankind that they can't help govern themselves with or without "power". War still exists. Animals and little children (not necessarily in that order) are still being abused. Death still marches on. It does show how small and stupid and shortsighted man can be. Think of all the power it will take and all the ozone it will burn starting all them generators up again! Not to mention all the wasted power going to light up all that bronze, steel, cement and lifeless icons. When will humankind ever get it? At the last minute, the eleventh hour? Maybe, Maybe not.
