Should we stay as friends?

I have a friend named Caitlyn. Well, we were good friends in 5th grade, but we fought A LOT! She was a very stubborn person who always wanted her way. She was still my friend for a little while of 6th grade when we both started at different middle schools. Probably in the middle of 6th grade, my friend asked me if I had any close friends and I said, "Yea! Caitlyn." Then she asked if I ever fought with her and I said that I did a lot. She looked at me in a way of saying, "And she's still your friend?!!? She told me that in middle school, you'll have a bunch of other friends. So I thoguht about for a while and decided that she was right, I needed better friends. Ok, now to 7th grade. Caitlyn is coming to my school and she is in my team and homeroom! Should I tell her that I don't wanna be friends anymore, or should I give her a chance and see what happens? Thanks! And sorry if it is long
