I have friend troubles?

today at school, there was nothing to do at recess. so my friend and i stayed upstairs and we were so bored, we played with a tub of cubed blocks. so, he was trying to build a tower, and i knocked it down. he got so mad, he threw a cube at my eye. his excuse was, "i didn't mean to aim at your eye." he gave me a paper saying, "i'm not going to be your friend until you apologize for knocking my tower down." we're in middle school, and he's complaining over a tower! he won't talk to me, and he's avoiding me. how can i solve this problem? he won't respond to my emails or phone calls. i don't even know how he feels about the problem because he won't talk to me. i've been thinking to go to our school counselor but when she brings him in to get his side of the story, he'll be so mad at me. he's been talking smack about me, and tells everyone i said the f word to him. please help me! i don't know what to do and i don't know if he want's to be my friend or not. i told my parents, and they suggest a counselor, but i don't know if that's a good idea. please help me!
