he doesnt own the airwaves, radio stations just get a gimmick and run w/ it. Hagar draws a crowd, which is what radio lives for. (A lot of clic rock / jack stations play tons of him). When i worked for a competetor a few years back in St Louis, they were trying to find someone at hagar's level to be the informal spokesperson for them to draw in different demographics. Also, I agree that the Cabo Wabo has alot to do w/ it these days. And that he's buddies w/ the PD's there. A little publicity never hurt anyone.
